:S

This morning, I got to watch a tv programme called "102 Minutes That Changed America" on History Channel.

It was about the collapse of the two main buidings of the World Trade Centre in America on 11th September, 2001. The "911 incident", you know.. the historical disaster.

The show was cool and worth watching as it was very professionally edited. They got several videos recording every bits of here and there throughout the collapse of the buildings: (warning: the show was labeled 18 ><)

The aeroplane penetrate through the buildings in the morning (i didnt watch that part coz i joined in halfway, but i suppose they got),
The top floors of the buildings were on fire..
People ran for their lives..
Women unable to withstand the shock and cried..
People unable to get out and desperately waving, seeking for help from the windows..
Someone recording from a building nearby witnessed a person jumped down and died..
Firemen trying their best to help.. got into the building and used walkie-talkie to communicate..
The situation was broadcasted almost immediately via a large tv screen on the other side of the town and everyone went like "OH MY GOD"..
etc etc..

It was supposed to be a normal, working morning but then the whole town was in such a big mess..

..and finally, one of the buidings collapsed.. (i wonder if the firemen who used the walkie-talkie in the building just now survived)..
The haze it caused was super duper horrible.. so thick and dark.. and it's spreading so fast..
This time, everyone was running like mad from the haze.. people failed to avoid the haze got their whole body in white and undergo difficulty to breathe....
Some buildings nearby were also destroyed.. places where many ppl were running just now went empty..
Firemen and police couldnt do anything anymore and they stayed there, feeling terrible..
People crying over their loved ones..
etc etc...

And all these happened from 9 something to 10 something in the morning. Just within 102 minutes.

I was ten during that year and i remember i heard about that news. In fact i even watched the recording of the incident that time. But of course, that wasn't so in detail, just the collapsing part. Back then i didn't really feel anything, simply because it was too unbelievable and i was too young to imagine the pain.

But now I can.

Imagine it's just another ordinary day and you've just started working in the morning and all these happened, just within an hour. That's such a nightmare. In fact i hope it was just a nightmare. But sadly, it so HAPPENED.

Imagine it's a fresh Saturday morning and you just decided to chill in the living room and watch tv with family, then you come across this programme and you cant help but keep on watching although it is horrible and depressing (coz you can hardly watch a special programme like this); then within the hours of watching you can't withstand the continuous shock and feel dizzy while your stomach is like churning inside.

I don't have to imagine, I've been through that.

Ughh.

Actually i had recovered from the trauma, but now it all comes back as i'm remembering it again. Then why am i still writing all these down? Despite the fact that the show was actually worth watching..

Maybe it's because i think sometimes i need to face the ugly sides of life, and take them. They do exist, no matter how hard you try to ignore them.

Still, i need to do something to cheer myself up. Music might help, perhaps.
And i'm sorry if this post disturbed your mood..

Good Day

Goodday fresh milk is nice.. LOL WTH~~ jkjk

Have been quite busy these days. Decided to become a true NERD until the end of finals. And i actually realise i kinda enjoy doing so.. haha. At least i'm keeping myself on track and not making myself regret for panicking at the very last minute..

Time management is really important. Now i can feel the difference as i try to improve on that.

Today has been a nice day as i actually find myself enjoy being busy the whole day. I was so into what i was doing (which is, currently, the bio research) i didn't feel hungry or sleepy. (Though the productivity is still not high.. but there's an improvement!) Maybe i shall consider staying back at college more often to do my work.. the atmosphere there is much better for me to study than at home.

I should be going to sleep or continue a bit on my work now.. But i just find today special because of my unexpectedly great attitude, and i feel like complimenting myself about that. Good one, Yen Yee! Keep it up! XD

No, i'm not being vain...

Haircut... again

"Short hair.
Shorter hair.
Ultimate shortest hair." - Ji Hau, 2009
lol.

This is my 3rd haircut since i decided to have short hair.
The ultimate shortest one? Well. *sobs*

Not that it's ugly though.. In fact my sis says its nice.
But my look keeps changing within this few months i can't really take it anymore.
Went to different hairstylists every time, and let them decide how to cut since i myself dunno which suits me best.. Then came out with totally different hairstyle every time.
If i continue doing this i think i'll get heart attack some day.

Never intend to shock anyone of you though.. coz i myself am shocked as well. XD
This time it's like the Bob style.. a (very) short kind of Bob hairstyle. Can you imagine that? on me??
Well if u can't, sunway ppl can see it next week when college starts. NO photos here. Thank you.

Till now i can't really accept that look... lalalalala~~
I'm getting fed up with this. Cracking my head over my hair while spending money on it every 2 months is not a good idea.

I'm thinking of keeping it long again next year.. and STRAIGHTEN it. Will be spending more money at a time, but i'm sure it'll last longer.. So it's a better option right??

Declaration =p

Before blogging anything else, somehow i feel the need of doing some 'declaration' regarding that recently The J's (Ji Hau, Joel, Jing Wen), Xian Horrible and Natalie keep saying that i have 'changed'. Seems like they got some serious shock out of it. lol~

According to them, the shy-and-quiet-and-nice-and-friendly Yen Yee has now become a lame, crazy and always-high Yen Yee (something like that). I'm not denying it; but they are making it sounds a bit too over. 'Attitude changed 180 degrees'? Duh, not that scary la Joel. -.-

So what happened to me? Nothing, really. What i can say is, this is always a part of me. The inner part of me which i don't usually open up to everyone, perhaps. (Ji Hau said he 'opened my inner pandora box'.. somehow he isn't wrong, but then again, that sounds a bit too over. Haha.)

Generally speaking, this is the more real part of me and i'm showing it to people only when i feel really comfortable with them. (So you can tell that i'm actually glad i have you guys as my friends. =) You guys should be happy, shouldn't you?)

Besides, now that i feel contented with everything i have, i'm trying to enjoy the remaining MUFY life to the fullest. That's it. (Confusion solved?)

* * * *

It's the last one-week holiday of the year but i don't feel any different. After an exhausting week of finishing the 'adventurous' english research project (swt), all i need is just some good rest and relax.

Then i have to get prepared for the most hectic week of the year after the break. After that week only i think i'll go "whee!"...

Anyways, before starting anything, I better get rid of my serious dark circles first. XD

Happy Raya break~

Richard Clayderman? Maksim? Yiruma!

Yeap. Meet my new idol.. Yiruma the Korean pianist! A brilliant composer indeed.

Once I get to listen to his music, I just cant help listening to it over and over again. I like him way better than how I like Richard Clayderman or Maksim.

Reasons to like him:
1. That's my favourite type of piano pieces. I've finally found it. SO BEAUTIFUL.
Especially when he's playing live.

This is the song that made me fall for him.. haha. I heard that this piece is used in Twilight movie as Bella's lullaby. (I've never watched Twilight though.. never read the book too.)

2. He played the songs with full emotions and feelings. By listening to it I'm so touched I wanna cry! Again, beautiful~

3. He controls the dynamics so well. The melody is so rich yet clear. It's nice enough to be played solo without any other instruments.
And this is the real cool one. (his fingers! omg)

There are also many other songs of his which I like very much, but I think I better stop here before my blog is flooded with videos. =)

Now tell me, how can I not be his fan??
*heart melted*~~
